WOW! Where do we start? 2022 has been a phenomenal year the PVE team as we’ve delved into new sports and events, whilst growing our presence across our well-established sports in golf and tennis. As a result of our success, our team has been expanding since early Spring to help deliver some of our best activation work in our 18-year history! Let’s take you through some of our 2022 highlights and showcase our growing power within the sport activation world.
Supporting Sports Participation
We kicked off 2022 at the HSBC Abu Dhabi Championship, working closely with Abu Dhabi Sports Council to deliver a fantastic multi-sport fan zone! The fan zone was voted as a favourite amongst our design & production teams, with a strong focus on incorporating activations that were accessible for all fans, supporting ADSC efforts in increasing participation and promoting sport for all in the UAE. Job satisfaction at it’s finest!
We also delivered a fan zone at the Charleston Open in South Carolina which held the same focus on creating an area that encouraged fans to pick up a racket and get involved with tennis! We welcomed over 21,500 fans, where it was brilliant for our US teams to see thousands of smiling fans leaving our fan zone! We take great pride in acknowledging the inspirational effect our sport activation has amongst fans.
Entering New Activation Territories
As I’m sure you are aware, much of our work has and continues to be in golf since Provision was established in 2004. However, our work is becoming increasingly recognised as a necessity across a breath of sporting events across the globe. We’ve been working with ASICS since early Spring this deliver numerous Blast Fan Zones across their marathon events. Check out what we did at the Brighton Marathon as our debut in running events!
We also delved into the world of baseball, as we put our immersive baseball simulators to good use! Take a look at how we worked with Hankook to deliver a seamless interactive exhibition stand in LA.
With significant developments in our full-service activation package, accompanied with the growth of our international teams, we upgraded our offices in the USA & UAE! We moved our USA office from North Carolina to Jacksonville in Florida, allowing for much more space in both the warehouse and office for our US teams.
Crossing over to the other side of the world, we are in the final stages of completing our move to a bigger office in Dubai. Over the past couple of years, our work has almost tripled in the UAE covering various sporting events and so we needed a bigger premises to accommodate more staff and event materials. We have some exciting projects coming up next month in the UAE, which will make good use of the extra space we now have!
Sustainability & Our Provision Green Policy
During what has been our busiest event season ever, we have been working hard in the background this year to become a more sustainable business. 2022 marks an important milestone in our sustainability journey. We are proud to have become innovation partners with Geo Foundation for Golf, who support the likes of the DP World Tour in their sustainability goals. Geo have supported us in developing our Provision Green policy and refining our vision for what we want to achieve over the coming months and years in becoming more sustainable.
We are also really excited to be working closely with Event Cycle, to support us in reducing our post event waste. After every event, we collect all our PVC branding until we have enough to send over to the fantastic designers at Event Cycle who repurpose the material into various items. Recently our branding has been used to make beach bags!
Our team have taken a step back to reflect on what has been an immensely successful year and are looking forward to what’s to come as we head into 2023. Stuart, our Business Development Manager, shares his aspirations for 2023:
“2023 is already shaping up to be another record-breaking year, with a strong pipeline of events working with governing bodies, international brands, promoters & agencies. We have invested in our new US Headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida, doubling in size with a full team of production and event managers ready to go. I’m really excited to see how 2023 progresses as we deliver at both familiar and new sporting events!”
Gary, Managing Partner, also highlighted our ambitions of pushing our sustainability efforts next year and expanding our work in other sports:
“We take sustainability and the impact our work has on the environment seriously, and we are well underway with our mission in reducing the impact our work has on the environment. As we progress through 2023, we hope the advance these efforts even more!
I am also extremely proud of how our international teams have expanded this year. 2023 is going to be a very exciting schedule for us across golf, tennis, cricket, baseball, snooker and more!”
