At Provision Events, sport lies at the heart of what we do. From fan zone activations and hospitality experiences to dynamic event delivery across the globe, our team has always believed in the power of sport to connect communities, inspire participation, and challenge barriers.

This International Women’s Day 2026, with the theme ‘Give to Gain’, we’re honoured to highlight how supporting women in sport not only uplifts female athletes but strengthens the entire sporting ecosystem. Giving in this context means creating visibility, providing platforms, and celebrating excellence at every level.

Why give to gain matters in sport

Give to Gain emphasises generosity and shared support. When organisations and individuals give time, resources, advocacy, or visibility to women’s sport, opportunities multiply. Women excel, communities grow, and sport becomes more inclusive and inspiring for all.

Through our work over the years, we’ve been privileged to partner with organisations and rights holders who share this vision. From rugby to golf, we've worked on stages that elevate women both as athletes and as fans.

Inspiring female athletes our team admire

Below are the female athletes our team have chosen as personal inspirations. Their stories reflect strength, resilience, integrity, and drive, the very qualities that help pave the way for future generations of women in sport.

Athlete: Jessica Ennis-Hill

Why they inspire me: “Jessica Ennis-Hill inspired me watching the London 2012 Summer Olympics. The heptathlon is the ultimate test for athletes, competing across 7 track and field events over two days. She came back from a serious Achilles injury in 2008 that ruled her out of the Beijing Olympics, rebuilt and still delivered gold in front of her home crowd.”

Athlete: Coco Gauff

Why they inspire me: “I'm inspired by American professional tennis player, Coco Gauff. From a young age she's faced intense expectations and criticism, yet she continues to rise above with maturity, strength and confidence. Her ability to channel these experiences into motivation, while carrying herself with such poise on one of the world's biggest stages, reflects true resilience and purpose.”

Athlete: Alex Morgan

Why they inspire me: “Alex Morgan is inspirational to me as a male fan because she shows that dedication, discipline, and hard work can push anyone to the top of their sport. Her success with the U.S. Women’s National Team proves that leadership and confidence aren’t defined by gender."

Athlete: Hollie Davidson

Why they inspire me: "Hollie Davidson is an inspiration for breaking new ground as the first woman to referee a men’s Six Nations match, showing that the highest levels of officiating are open to talent regardless of gender. Her achievement is a powerful step forward for inclusivity in rugby, paving the way for future generations of female referees to believe they belong on the biggest stage.”

Our work championing women’s sport

At Provision Events, we’ve been proud to support women’s sport through high-impact live experiences that bring fans closer to the action. Here are a couple of stand out projects from recent years:

Red Roses Fan Zone – Women’s Six Nations at Twickenham

We partnered with the RFU in 2023 and 2024 to deliver the Red Roses Fan Zone at Women’s Six Nations fixtures, creating engaging, family-friendly fan activations that introduced new audiences to women’s rugby and helped grow long-term participation and support.

For the AIG Women’s Open, we delivered an interactive fan zone focused on inclusivity and engagement, using interactive golf activations to celebrate the sport while educating and entertaining fans of all ages.

These activations have not only delivered memorable experiences for fans, but also helped elevate visibility for women’s sport at major global events.

Looking ahead

As we reflect on International Women’s Day 2026, our commitment is clear: we will continue to champion women in sport, support equitable experiences, and use our platform to elevate voices and opportunities wherever we work.

By giving visibility, resources, and passion to women’s sport, we all gain more inclusive and inspiring sporting communities worldwide.
