Provision Events is delighted to announce a new three-year partnership with the Genesis Scottish Open, delivering the tournament's Fan Experience Village from 2026 through to 2028.
As one of the most prestigious tournaments in professional golf and a flagship event on the DP World Tour calendar, the Genesis Scottish Open attracts many of the world's best players alongside thousands of spectators from across the globe. The appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Provision Events, while also representing a welcome return to an event that has played an important role in the company’s history.
The Provision Events team has a long-standing relationship with both the Genesis Scottish Open and the DP World Tour, having previously delivered fan engagement, hospitality and event experience activations at the tournament over several years. Returning to the championship as the Fan Experience delivery partner makes this new agreement particularly special for the team.
Following a competitive tender process, Provision Events was selected to deliver the Fan Experience thanks to the team's creative approach, strategic thinking and proven ability to create engaging experiences that connect fans, sponsors and sporting events. The team's vision for the GSO , alongside the depth of thought behind the activations and visitor journey, resonated strongly with stakeholders throughout the selection process.
A Meaningful Return to the Genesis Scottish Open
For Business Development Director Stuart Langlands, who secured the partnership, the announcement carries both professional and personal significance.
"Bringing Provision Events back to the Genesis Scottish Open is something I'm incredibly proud of. Not only is it one of the most prestigious events on the DP World Tour calendar, but as a Scot, it's an event I follow closely.
We've previously had the privilege of supporting the tournament and building strong relationships with the Tour, so securing this three-year partnership feels particularly special. We understand the standards expected at an event of this calibre, and we're excited to work with the team to deliver an outstanding Fan Experience that reflects the growth and ambition of the Genesis Scottish Open."
As a proud Scot and lifelong golf enthusiast, Stuart's connection to the tournament extends beyond the commercial opportunity. Having worked alongside the Tour previously and witnessed the continued growth of the Genesis Scottish Open first-hand, he is passionate about helping deliver an exceptional fan experience at one of Scotland's leading golf tournaments.
Provision Events created a futuristic custom-built activation for Whoop at the DP World Tour Final in Dubai, featuring premium product displays and an interactive golf simulator.
The branded structure boosted engagement while providing a comfortable shaded space for visitors.
A large-scale interactive Fan Zone was created for Amgen and the DP World Tour, featuring sports-themed challenges, golf technology, and a seamless QR-based data capture system. The activation engaged over 9,000 visitors, increased brand awareness, and delivered a memorable fan experience throughout the tournament.
An interactive fan activation was delivered for Titleist and the DP World Tour, featuring a premium ball fitting zone, golf simulator, putting course, Mega Long Putt, and Chipping Challenge. The experience boosted brand engagement, supported charitable fundraising, and created memorable experiences for fans throughout the tournament.
Creating a World-Class Fan Experience
The three-year partnership will see Provision Events lead the planning, design, production and delivery of the Genesis Scottish Open Fan Experience, creating a dedicated destination for spectators throughout tournament week.
Spanning more than 8,400 sq m this year’s Fan Experience Village will feature a variety of interactive activations, brand experiences, entertainment and engagement opportunities designed to appeal to golf fans of all ages. Working closely with tournament partners including SBK and Scottish Golf, Provision Events will develop sponsor activations that add genuine value to the spectator experience while creating meaningful opportunities for fan interaction.
The majority of activations will be housed within our premium AirClad [X] structures, creating a high-quality environment that reflects the stature of the championship. Through Provision Events' partnership with AirClad, the Fan Experience will benefit from temporary modular structures that are fully brandable, sustainable and designed to deliver a premium finish throughout the spectator village.
From interactive golf challenges and partner activations through to content opportunities and immersive fan engagement experiences, the aim is to create a vibrant destination that complements the action on the course and enhances the overall tournament experience.
Delivering Excellence On-Site
Leading the project from a production perspective is Managing Partner Matt Lomasney, who will oversee the strategic planning and delivery of the Fan Experience Village.
"The Genesis Scottish Open is recognised globally as one of golf's premier tournaments, so we're delighted to have been entrusted with delivering the Fan Experience over the next three years.
Our focus will be on creating engaging, memorable experiences for spectators while ensuring every element is delivered to the highest production standards. We know how important fan engagement and spectator experience have become within major golf events, and we're looking forward to helping enhance the overall event experience for everyone attending the championship."
Working closely alongside Matt is Senior Production Executive Ollie Kimmins, who will play a key role in the event's on-site delivery and operational execution.
"Having the opportunity to work on an event of this scale is incredibly exciting. The Genesis Scottish Open attracts some of the biggest names in golf and thousands of passionate fans, so being part of the team delivering the Fan Experience is a fantastic opportunity.
I spent a lot of my childhood in North Berwick visiting family, so to now be working on an event of this calibre in a place that means so much to me feels incredibly full-circle.
There's a huge amount of work that goes into bringing these experiences to life, and I'm looking forward to seeing everything come together on-site. It's a brilliant event with an incredible atmosphere, and I'm proud to play a role in its delivery."
Ollie has been heavily involved in the planning process and is looking forward to helping bring the Fan Experience vision to life at one of the most celebrated tournaments in professional golf.
