Winston-Salem Open: Fan Zone

Updated: Oct 18, 2022

Client: Winston-Salem

Event: Winston-Salem Open

Activation: Fan Zone

Location: North Carolina

The Brief:

The event team at the Winston-Salem Open wanted to provide an interactive area that incorporated various sports to enhance fans experiences and showcase their various partnerships, such as with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.

The Process:

This was the first time that Winston-Salem would be offering activations at the event. Considering this, the Provision team played a proactive role in discussing multiple sports that could be offered within the fan zone, with emphasis on the fan zone being family friendly. The team made sure that each activation available would be appealing and accessible to all fans, with the intention of elevating fans experiences compared to previous years. This was a critical factor to consider, to ensure high engagement levels in the activations which in turn would help promote the partnerships of Winston-Salem.

The Result:

Fan Zone: providing exciting opportunities for fans of all ages to engage in various sports & activations.

Arts & Crafts: a creative space for younger fans to indulge in drawing and colouring.

Basketball: 2 basketball hoops, fans were given 60 seconds to score as many shots as possible.

Table Tennis: fans had the freedom to have a go at table tennis, 2 players at one time.

“Working with the team at Provision Events was a creative, seamless and painless process! We are excited to expand our partnership together!

Kinsey Schultz, Tournament Manager at the Winston-Salem Open

At Provision, we achieve the greatest satisfaction through witnessing the thrill and delight of fans who engage with our activations. These reactions were visible throughout the week we were activating at the Winston-Salem, and we feel proud that our contribution as a team of sport activation specialists was undoubtedly noticed!
