Morgan Stanley: Fan Experience

The Brief:

The Provision team have been activating at The Players Championship since 2015, where it is always a pleasure to return to the renowned TPC Sawgrass! This year Morgan Stanley, as one of the Proud Partners of the tournament, wanted to provide an exclusive fan experience to promote their Eagles for Impact initiative and educate fans more on the brand and their involvement in golf.

The Process:

Considered as the 5th major in golf, we knew we would be welcoming large numbers of golf fans throughout the week! The focus of the design & production teams was to create a premium and exclusive experience for fans attending the event. It was important to incorporate both club in hand activation, as well as an adding an exciting element that encouraged fans to interact with the brand. We also wanted to ensure that the relationship between Morgan Stanley and golf was well communicated in the area.

The Result:

Morgan Stanley Fan Experience: Positioned by the 16th Hole, the area was fitted out with two activations; a club in hand putting activation and a digital experience, both bespoke built. We also had numerous video vaults that showcased Morgan Stanley and their Eagles for Impact programme, as well as TV’s showing live tournament coverage.

TPC Sawgrass Two Bay Putting Simulator: Fans had the opportunity to win a Players Championship hat if they managed to sink the eagle putt on our putting simulator! Using real time simulator technology, fans could experience just how quick the greens are at TPC Sawgrass to get a little taste of the conditions the pros would be playing in that week.

Photo Mosaic: A fun interactive photo experience! Fans would scan the QR code on the wall and take a selfie, where their photo would form the wider mosaic that displayed golf’s most recognised hole – the 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass. Fans could share their snaps across all social media platforms, a great way to elevate the event online.

Morgan Stanley New York Head Office: During the first few days of Players week, we delivered our Players putting simulator experience at Morgan Stanley’s head office in New York. The aim was to demonstrate their involvement with the tournament through the Eagles for Impact initiative to their team – and of course to provide workers a chance to work on their putting skills during their lunch break!

Our consistent return to the Players for the past 8 years shows just how beneficial our activation services are to the tournament. This year Morgan Stanley raised a fantastic $255,000 under their Eagles for Impact programme! The funds will support the incredible work done by First Tee, a non-profit organisation dedicated to support the recruitment, growth, and retention of diverse golf coaches to mentor the upcoming generation. Team PVE are immensely proud to have contributed to this marvellous initiative, to allow the game to develop and grow in the future. It’s just one of the many reasons why we love what we do!
