The Brief:

We teamed up with Hoag, who have been the title sponsor of the Hoag Classic since 2019, to deliver a premium and unique hospitality experience. The brief was focused on utilising the tournament as a platform to promote the incredible work and research they do. In addition, data capture was a key element of the brief to help recruit new members and donors as a non-profit regional health care provider in California.


The Process:

As our first hospitality venture at a sporting event, we wanted to employ our activation services to bring the Hoag brand to life through exciting and unique interactive opportunities. A key aspect to any hospitality area is to provide visitors with a premium and high-quality experience. Considering this, the design & production teams brainstormed numerous ways in which we could create a similar look and feel to the area.


The Result:

The Hoag Experience: A hospitality experience every golf fan dreams of! Featuring club in hand activations, digital experiences with photo opportunities & interactive games, all finished off seamlessly with our interior furnishings, resulted in one immersive and unique fan experience.

Long Putt: A fan favourite at any golf event, our bespoke long putt was themed around Newport Beach where fans had to putt down the pier over the beach and water to hole the putt at the end of the pier, where the Ferris wheel was!


Chipping Challenge: Fans had 60 seconds to score as many points as they could on our skeeball chipping challenge! High scorers would be lucky enough to make our leaderboard, displayed by the activation.


Photo Mosaic: A fun interactive photo experience! Fans would scan the QR code on the wall and take a selfie, where their photo would form the wider mosaic that communicated a powerful message - ‘We Are Boldly Hoag.’ Fans could share their snaps across all social media platforms, a great way to elevate the event online.


360 Photo Booth: Capturing video from every angle, fans stand on the platform as the camera circles around them, recording their moment in the spotlight! Whether it was golf swings or props that featured, fans had the freedom to make the experience personal to them as a great souvenir to take away from the event.

As our debut in hospitality, we could not be prouder of the end of result! The team went above and beyond in delivering a superior experience for fans attending the event. We welcomed over 2,000 fans through the Hoag Experience across the three days, filled with hundreds of photos & videos, and a total of 946 fans signing up to support Hoag.
