The Brief:

Since 2019 we have been working with Gallagher at the Premiership Rugby Final to deliver the Gallagher Way Fan Zone, as the finale to the Rugby Union season. As title sponsors, the Gallagher Way Fan Zone plays an important role in engaging and connecting with fans to build brand loyalty and awareness.

The Process:

With activation being a big part of the gameday experience, the focus for the Fan Zone is to always ensure full accessibility to fans of all ages and abilities. With the Women’s Rugby World Cup also being held on home turf, we worked with the Gallagher team to incorporate this into the Fan Zone, whilst also introducing a new activation into the Fan Zone for 2025!  

The Result:

Gallagher Way Fan Zone: The ultimate fan experience for rugby fans, the Fan Zone included numerous activations that engaged fans with all aspects of the sport, to elevate the gameday experience!  

Coaches Challenge: Incorporating key skills & touchpoints in rugby, fans could take on the ultimate rugby challenge as they tested their catching, passing, kicking & tackling ability! The challenge was timed where participants had to complete the circuit as quickly as possible.

Rugby Shy: A true test of accuracy, fans had 60 seconds to knock as many rugby balls off the plinths as possible by throwing a ball.    

Swan Dive: Fans had to dive into the foam pit replicating the classic try scoring pose! A great opportunity to capture the ultimate action shot, with this activation going down a storm with the younger fans!  

WRWC Photo Experience: An exclusive opportunity for fans to get a photo with the WRWC trophy! Photos were emailed to individuals after where they could share their snaps online across social media platforms.

Giveaway Area: Housed within our hut using our sustainable walling system, all fans that entered the Fan Zone had the opportunity grab a giveaway, with t-shirts, caps and more on offer!

It is always a pleasure working with the Gallagher team, where we have consistently delivered an exceptional fan experience for the past 7 years, adding to the match day atmosphere! We welcomed over 5,500 fans through Gallagher Way Fan Zone, where it was brilliant to see various demographics participate and enjoy the Fan Zone, as Gallagher and the wider community continue to help grow the sport and increase participation and accessibility.
