As sponsors of the Irish Open, DDF wanted to use the tournament to promote the DDF Tennis Championships, commencing in early 2023. Crowds from all over the world flock to the Irish Open, as a flagship event on the DP World Tour. We were asked to deliver an activation that captured the excitement around the DDF Tennis Championships, and the brand itself.
To ensure we captured fans attention of the activation, we put our striking 10x10 arch structure to good use. Marking the debut of our BatFast Arch, we knew that both the distinctive exterior and interior features, would not go unnoticed by fans. We also knew that the automated and intelligent BatFast tennis simulator technology would allow for full accessibility to all fans. DDF provided various prize incentives, which we needed to fully utilise that sparked excitement about the upcoming event, as an ideal marketing opportunity for DDF.
Tennis Arch Simulator: Our arch structure housed our BatFast tennis simulator terrifically! Everyone who took part were entered into a raffle with a chance of winning a trip to Dubai for the DDF Tennis Championships. Top scorers over the period of the tournament were also rewarded with DDF goody bags. Fans would face three tennis serves, where they had to return and score points based on their accuracy.
Over 750 fans faced our tennis simulator, where over 2,200 balls were delivered. Using industry leading sports simulator technology and our impressive arch structure, was a powerful collaboration. We provided an essential platform for DDF to allow them to communicate with their ideal target market. As a result, DDF were able to gain significant brand exposure and interaction, simply through fans enthusiasm for our activation!
