For the past six weeks, our team have been lucky enough to travel across all four corners of Scotland! Whilst delivering back-to-back events can be demanding, our team earned great satisfaction in recognising the incredible ways we impacted golf fans experience’s. It was also a bonus to be activating under the unusually glorious Scottish sunshine – across ALL events! Let’s give you a lowdown of what we’ve been delivering throughout Scotland these past few weeks.
The Rolex Senior’s Open – Gleneagles
We kicked off our run of events in Scotland at one of the world’s most recognisable golfing destination – Gleneagles. Our multi-sport area included football, rugby & tennis activations, all of which revolved around fans having sharp accuracy skills! Alongside this we had our golf simulator, complete with bespoke gameplay all designed in house at PVE. We also delivered our long putt in aid of the British Heart Foundation Scotland as the official charity of the tournament. We raised a considerable amount for the BHF Scotland (exact number TBC soon!) where it is always rewarding for us to see our activations utilised for such great causes!
The Hero Open – Fairmont St Andrews
Our team headed east from Gleneagles to Fairmont St Andrews – the home of golf. Similar to what we delivered the previous week at the Rolex Senior’s Open, the fan zone featured a multi-sport area with football, rugby & tennis activations. This was accompanied by our long putt and bespoke golf simulator, where fans had great fun engaging with our activations across the duration of the tournament.
Women’s Scottish Open – Dundonald Links
Next up, our team travelled to the west coast of Scotland to the historic Dundonald Links. We designed and installed the entrance tent to the event, creating an impressive welcome for fans arriving! The fan zone included a golf simulator, long putt and multi-sport zone with football & ruby activations.
AIG Women’s Open – Muirfield
We finished our road trip on a high, delivering an interactive fan zone at Muirfield. As our debut at the event, we created a fan experience that supported the ongoing drive to increase women's participation in golf. The event was a roaring success, where it was noticeable to see how many young girls and women we inspired to pick up a golf club.
This time of year always see’s our team up in Scotland delivering activations across numerous golfing events. It was refreshing to be part of some incredible new events this year such as the Senior’s Open and AIG Women’s Open, in providing accessibility to the sport. So, what’s on our agenda as we approach the end of summer?
Our US team have a busy run of events covering tennis and golf, with a notable golfing event coming up in September that will undoubtedly go down in Provision’s history!
