Location: Quail Hollow Golf Club, North Carolina

The Brief:

As title sponsors of the one of the four elevated events on the 2023 PGA Tour schedule, Wells Fargo wanted to provide something special for their clients! The focus was on adding a sense of exclusivity to Wells Fargo clients, and to also promote the brand and their financial services.


The Process:

Our design & production were keen to get stuck in and look at how we could create an engaging VIP experience, to emphasise Wells Fargo as a premium and exciting brand to be involved with! We also wanted to utilise the power of activation to entice fans into the separate fan area to spark that initial interest in the brand to help grow their audience and awareness.


The Result:

Wells Fargo VIP Hospitality Experience: Positioned on the 10th fairway at Quail Hollow Golf Club, the VIP Hospitality Tent was an exclusive experience that was accessible to all Wells Fargo clients. The area was fitted out with various golf activations, which allowed space for F&B facilities and seating area for fans to relax and take some out from the live golfing action.

Three Bay Golf Simulator Range: Whether it was bombing a drive down the fairway or attempting an approach shot, we gave fans the freedom to play any hole they fancied on the Quail Hollow golf course!


Putting Stroke Analysis: Using our top of the range golf technology, fans could gain interesting insights into their putting stroke on our putting green such as stroke tempo and accuracy. Information on their putting strokes could be viewed on a screen next to the activation.


Nearest the Pin Challenge: Three bay nearest the pin challenge, hitting out on an existing green on Quail Hollow. Fans were challenged to hit the ball as close as they could to various flag positions on the green.


Short Game Challenge: Open to the public, we designed and built a three bay skeeball chipping challenge where fans had 60 seconds to score as many points as possible. Certainly, a crowd pleaser!


It was a pleasure to activate at another fantastic event on the PGA Tour, as our activation services are quickly becoming more recognised as an effective solution for hospitality fit outs and ventures. We welcomed over 3,000 fans through both our VIP Hospitality and Chipping Challenge, drawing significant crowds and interest in Wells Fargo and the event. Activation works wonders in adding that extra special exclusive feel to any event and is a great way to create a unique hospitality experience in any sport!
