Location: Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas 


The Brief

Provision Events was invited back by Texas Children’s and additional tournament sponsors to elevate the fans, players and suite guest experience for another year at the Texas Children’s Houston Open. As a long-term partner, we were asked to create a range of different scale, hospitality and interior fit outs, structures, fan-activation with club in hand experiences, that would fully represent our clients to campaigns and enhance the fans and their guests' experiences with the brand.


The clients wanted an environment that offered meaningful experiences for guests of all ages. They needed highly branded, carefully fabricated spaces with interactive elements, premium graphics, 3D production, structural builds, and full staffing to support live operations throughout the tournament week. 


Our goal was to deliver an activation that felt cohesive, high-quality and unmistakably representative of their brands across the entire tournament footprint. 


The Process

The Provision Events team managed the full project from initial concept to onsite delivery. This included design development, CAD planning, custom fabrication, large format printing, 3D production, installation, technical setup, and multi-day live activation staffing. 


Across the tournament we delivered 12 separate projects, each built with custom fabrication, printed walls, branded environments, 3D elements and interactive digital components. Below is a detailed breakdown of each area delivered, including both experience content and data-driven performance. 


Activation Areas Delivered:


1. Hospitality Zone 

A premium guest environment designed to elevate the hospitality experience while showcasing the Texas Children’s brand. 

  • Full interior fit out with premium printed walling 

  • Foliage and wood accents 

  • Branded signage and environmental graphics 

  • Back lit 3D printed logo elements 

  • Curated experience points for VIP guests 

  • Custom 3D printed theming elements 

  • Guest flow planning and layout design 

  • Staffing support for live operations 

  • Locker themed branded promotional item wall 

  • Custom F&B bars with curvature 


 

2. Family Fun Zone 

A major part of the tournament and the highest-traffic family-related experience. 

  • Fully fabricated entrance arch with large 3D letters 

  • Custom Logo Topiaries and scenic elements 

  • Branded Connect 4 and skill-based game stations 

  • Printed walling throughout 

  • Colouring Walls 

  • 2-Side Reaction Wall with Leaderboard and Data Capture 

  • Photo opportunity built with custom props 

  • Real time 3D Motion Capture Lab avatar character transformation experience 

  • Full staffing and game facilitation 

  • Branded guest surveys 

  • Experience flow design and management 

  • Two-tone Astro turf flooring 

 


3. Family Care Units (Two Suites) 

Purpose-built spaces offering quiet support and comfort for families with babies and young children. 

  • Two fully built care suites with custom walling 

  • Baby changing, bottle prep and nursing bays 

  • Branded curtains and privacy partitions 

  • Branded Check-in station digital system 

  • Patient Artwork & Caddie bib Wall Displays 

  • Custom CNC cut HVAC grates 

  • Floorplan layout optimised for flow and comfort 


 

4. Methodist Area

A golf-themed skeeball chipping challenge combining entertainment and rewards. 

  • Full game fabrication and installation with golf theming 

  • Branded graphic panels and reception desk 

  • Staffing and guest management 

  • Custom 3D printed branded golf ball planters 


 

5. ConocoPhillips

A hands-on science and engineering zone for young fans. 

  • Custom STEM gameplay development 

  • Fabricated housing for interactive equipment 

  • Printed infographics and educational panels 

  • Astroturf flooring 

  • Dedicated staffing to guide families 

  • Netted queuing area to enhance queue engagement 



6. Bunker Challenge 

  • Branded bunker structure and gameplay area 

  • Fabricated bunker and green 

  • Leaderboard screen and signage 

  • Camera Live feed capture of green 

  • Branded Donation mechanic setup 

  • Staffing and gameplay support 

  • Logo floor decal integration into the green  


 

7. MD Anderson Zone 

A zone focused on sun safety education and awareness. 

  • Fabricated Grab and Go wall for sunscreen, hats and lip balm 

  • Printed panels and supportive educational digital content 

  • Custom LED sign assets 

  • TV wall playing tournament live feed 

  • Branded walls and flexible message displays 

  • Interactive guest messaging wall 

  • Staffing for visitor guidance 

  • A range of high table and lounge seating 

  • Shaded extension struck for golf viewing 


 

8. Player Dining 

A practical branded interior supporting professional golfers. 

  • Branded printed walling with wooden accents 

  • Screens and content displays 

  • Internal branding layout 

  • Full fit out working around existing venue assets 

  • Family Care Unit to cater for families 

 

The Result

We delivered a vibrant, inclusive and high-quality experience that reached more than 12,000 visitors across all areas. With 12 unique projects delivered across the site, Texas Children’s Houston Open had a consistent and meaningful presence for families, players, spectators and VIP guests.

 

The scale of the activation created multiple touchpoints that reinforced the client’s values, strengthened community connection and ensured families felt supported and engaged throughout the tournament. 


Key Outcomes: 

  • 12,000 fans engaged across all areas 

  • 1,400+ photo interactions 

  • Positive brand sentiment from more than 98 percent of surveyed guests 

  • Almost $9,000 raised in the Bunker Challenge 

  • Spanned 12 projects across the course footprint
