As we head into the Easter weekend, our international teams are taking some to reflect on the multiple events we have delivered here, there and everywhere! Despite the fact we are a small agency with under 30 employees, we can successfully operate and activate across a busy global events schedule. 2022 has already established itself to be a year of significant growth and development for Provision, where we have been flourishing! So, what’s being happening in the world of Provision Events?
The start of the year saw our presence at numerous events in the UAE; The HSBC Championship & FIFA Club World Cup 2021 were a couple of highlights! Even when we are not delivering an event, we are always occupied preparing for upcoming events. The Players Championship 2022 took preparation and organisation to another level! However, the tournament honoured one of our most successful events to date, so well worth the overtime our production team put in!
We took our immense Players success into the start of our lively US event schedule. We had a team head out to Texas for two events: Valero Texas Open and Men’s Clay Court Championship. We have activated at the Valero Texas Open for the past couple of years, whereas it was our first time activating at the Men’s Clay Court Championship. Both events were a great success, and it was a fantastic opportunity for our team to visit both new and old locations!
Whilst our Texas events were underway, we had another team building and delivering an epic fan experience at the Charleston Open in South Carolina. This was a particularly momentous event for us, marking the USA debut of Batfast! It was an exciting moment for us, where our calibrated tennis simulator technology allows all ages, backgrounds and abilities to participate. Our RacketFast challenge went down a storm with fans alongside our other tennis activations. We welcomed over 21,500 fans through our Fan Zone – we could not have asked for better results and we were thrilled so many fans enjoyed engaging with our activations!
Crossing over the Atlantic, Provision HQ was a hub of activity as our build and live event team were gearing up for the Brighton Marathon weekend: a brand-new sporting context for us to activate in. We delivered the ASICS Blast Fan Zone, and it’s safe to say fans really did have a blast! It was privilege for us to support ASICS in creating a great communication channel to enable them to connect with fans. We welcomed over 2,500 fans over the event and ticked off yet another sport where our activations have proven to be a success!
2022 has already taken our team and activation services to some incredible iconic sporting locations and events. Even though we haven’t approached the halfway mark through the year yet, it has already been a period of significant development for us. Whilst most of our work has been in golf, it has been refreshing for us to work across new sports and, grow our presence more in other sports. Tennis is fast becoming a sport that our services are increasingly in demand for, and it is only natural that other sports to follow suit. We cannot wait to continue our 2022 event schedule, as the UK events industry awakens with summer just around the corner.
What’s next for us? World Snooker and the Betfred British Masters preparation is well underway so keep your eyes peeled for more exciting activation triumphs!
